Yoga Teacher Training & Certification
Your yoga teacher training at Yandara school emphasizes yoga practice and teaching skills, including organizing a class, creating confidence and making postural corrections. You will learn to teach Hatha Yoga with precision alignment, emphasizing heart-felt energy and meditation. You can use this training as a foundation for any style you choose to teach.
Yandara Yoga Institute has all of the qualities one should look for in a yoga teacher training program excellent resident faculty; a full schedule and strong curriculum; plenty of hands-on learning/teaching; and even more pristine ocean front location; an off-the-grid retreat center with solar electricity; organic vegetable/fruit garden; delicious, healthy, well-proportioned meals; and a great local community of musicians, teachers, and yogis. My time at Yandara was thoroughly enjoyable, both as a teacher and a new member of their community and I look forward to many returns."Peter Sterios"

I
completed my 200 hour training in March 2010, and I can say from the depths of
my heart that I wouldn't have done my training anywhere else (and that is
saying a lot because I live in NYC, where there are a TON of renowned
programs).
Yandara
is a program unlike any other, and is a complete immersion, which is something
a lot of programs lack. The setting was simply magnificent- imagine being
in Baja, sleeping in a (comfortable!!) tent on the beach next to cacti and
luscious vegetation, and being able to hear the ocean's rolling waves in the
background. All while studying yoga, practicing flows, meditating in the
mornings as the sun comes up, and meeting a new family of yogis who you will
feel connected to in a very short amount of time. (By the end of the first day,
my group was a family. We spent our free time together, chatted after dinners
about our lives outside of Yandara and how what we were learning applied to our
home setting and environment. We laughed/smiled/cried and BREATHED our way
through the training. Together.) That is not even mentioning the amazing staff
that was constantly there for us-teaching us new skills and knowledge about
yoga, but also allowing us the space to learn about our own selves. (Did I
mention that many nights a live kirtan band provided us with
jams to dance to, move to, sing to, and chant to!?
I think that is
what sets Yandara apart from any other training-you experience a HUGE amount of
growth from start to finish. You will be amazed at how differently you feel at
the end of the training-not only will you be confident with your teaching
skills, but you will be more aware of your own body, mind and spirit. Yandara
is not only a yoga teaching training. It is a transformation.
