Following the traditional yogic path, all programs at Yandara promote inner peace and transformation of mind, body and spirit. Complementing our professional curriculum is dedicated time for silent reflection and personal revitalization through sun, surf and nature. There will be opportunities for you to relax your thoughts while you explore the beach, swim in the ocean, hike the desert and sleep under the stars.
Your body will embrace nourishing, delicious and healthy cuisine. Our gourmet meal plan and seasonal onsite kitchen and herb garden always impresses. Your spirit will be lifted and infused by the music and song enjoyed during evening satsangs hosted by our fabulous in-house Kirtan Band: ‘JAYA’.
Yandara Yoga Institute is a beautiful oceanfront retreat nestled beside the Pacific ocean of Mexico's Southern Baja Peninsula. We are located 20 minutes south of the magical village of Todos Santos and 40 minutes north of Cabo San Lucas.
Nature, seclusion, unspoiled white sandy beach and abundant fresh fruits and vegetables paired with the easy travel access from USA and Canada create the perfect setting for a world class yoga teacher training. Stroll the miles of peaceful beachfront or simply relax and meditate to the ever-present rhythm of the waves. Two miles up the beach is one of the premiere surfing beaches in North America. The local climate is ideal with the sun shining year round, refreshing sea breezes and a clear sky unique to this part of the world - fabulous for stargazing. Yandara is in a rural, very safe and crime free location. Please visit our "Travel" page for more information.
In addition to our Baja location, we also offer our programs on the magical island of Bali, Indonesia and Hawaii. The Bali 16 day training is held at the beautiful Bali Shangri La Retreat Center, Bali, Indonesia.. The Hawaii 16 day training is held at Ramashala Resort near Hilo.
Yandara Yoga Teacher Training ..."Yandara System"
During the teacher training program you will benefit immensely from the emphasis placed upon practice teaching time, one to one mentoring and small class sizes. On a daily basis, right from the start, you will be teaching fellow students and receiving their support and feedback along with the guidance of our instructors. Our training program allows you to learn a significant amount of information quickly; you will embody knowledge while putting it to practice every step along your training path.
In addition to learning how to teach asana, meditation, philosophy, and pranayama practices you will learn the art of living and teaching from the heart. While at Yandara you will have the opportunity to deepen your connection with your inner wisdom and teacher. Various practices and experiences will be made available to you, allowing you to access a place of heart-felt presence. Sharing this radiant heart-felt presence and joy with your future students, friends and family will naturally uplift and inspire them to find the same. We believe this is the true path of a yoga teacher.
The curriculum at Yandara meets and exceeds the Yoga Alliance guidelines. Graduates of Yandara Yoga Teacher Training will be eligible for Yoga Alliance 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification. For more information about this, click here.
You can choose from our monthly training programs offered at our pristine natural oasis in Baja, Mexico or select from our summer programs offered on the exotic islands of Bali, Indonesia and Hawaii. If you decide to join us in Baja you have the option of registering for either our 16 or 26 day program. In Bali and Hawaii we offer our 16 day intensive teacher training program.
Within all of the programs you receive 200 hours of yoga teacher training through a balanced yet intensive retreat style experience. The foundation of each program is based on our heart-centered Vinyasa Flow Sequencess and our Yandara Teacher Training Curriculum focused on sequencing, alignment, assisting, pranayama, meditation, anatomy, philosophy, mantra and more. Although our programs have the same valuable platform they are uniquely distinct offering individual experiences. The following may assist you in deciding what learning format is the best fit for you.
Learning Format: Although all of the programs are delivered in an intensive immersion format, they differ in their pace and intensity. The same 200 classroom hours need to be completed in either 16 or 26 days. The 16 day trainings are delivered in a concentrated format and are more suited to those who are comfortable with an accelerated learning environment. The 26 day program allows for more rest, rejuvenation and integration.
See the links below to learn more about the daily schedule during each program.
