The teachers for this course are: Shane Christopher Perkins, Nicolina Daya Nam Kaur and Mercy Dev Sangeeta Kaur (Sound Healer & Mantra Musician) together with the rest of Yandara's inspiring teaching community. Read more about the teachers on our Teacher Faculty page. Occasionally the teachers change for a specific course, please contact us if you have any questions about the teachers.
This program will give you the tools you need to enrich your classes and deepen your personal practice. We work with Kundalini Yoga and QiGong to charge the body and breath; Buddhist meditation techniques to still the mind; Intention and guided meditation to find clarity; and Sound and Mantra to take the mind to a state beyond the ordinary.
During this retreat and teacher training we will explore techniques from the Kundalini Yoga tradition. Kundalini Yoga originally made it big in the 1960s and is now on the rise in modern yoga circles thanks to its ability to energize, empower and balance both body and mind. Along with focusing on physical postures, Kundalini Yoga is designed to awaken and organize your energy to bring you to a state of greater awareness. In place of Vinaysas and Warrior II’s, it includes dynamic movement, powerful breath work, heart opening chants, and many sweet and deeply relaxing moments in between. In the process of expanding awareness, we will lovingly meet and attend to our shadows through the reevaluation of limiting thoughts and beliefs. Kundalini Yoga will add depth to your life and take your spiritual practice to the next level.
Experience how a gong bath can support your meditation. The sound of the gong has been used for thousands of years to balance the nervous system and induce deeper states of meditation. A gong bath is a unique type of sound practice that involves using the sounds and vibrations of gongs to bring about deep states of rest and rejuvenation.
This 9-day module is not a complete Kundalini Yoga Teacher Certification Program. However, it is a great foundation and you will learn many inspiring techniques that you can share with your students! Click here to find out more or register for the Kundalini Teacher Certification Program.

At our Baja, Mexico location we offer a few different choices for accommodation.
Deluxe TentsThe majority of yogis that attend our Teacher Training choose to stay in our deluxe tents. These are big tents that most people are able to stand up in. Each tent has a normal twin size bed and mattress, a small set of drawers and a lamp. Bed linens are provided, but we do not provide a bath towel. Comfortable and yet still close to nature. We like to call it luxury camping. For couples we can offer a larger tent with a larger bed. We have 6 bathrooms and 8 showers on our campus.
The Yandara cabana has a full size bed. This cabana does have a private bathroom.
