Allison Eaton teaches Yandara's Yin, Restorative & Yinyasa programs together with guest teachers and the Yandara team.
Yin Yoga includes longer held, therapeutic seated and floor postures, supported by props, to
optimize range of motion and energy flow through the joint tissue - while emphasizing hip & lower back
health. Yin Yoga cultivates inner listening, heightened awareness and intuition, acceptance and compassion.
Restorative Yoga focuses on a deep relaxation of the nervous system, while enhancing your body’s ability to regenerate and restore itself on multiple levels of body, mind and spirit. These deeply restful poses are completely passive and fully supported by yoga props. Ahhhh!
To balance the yin energy, this training includes practice and instruction in a slow-flow style of yoga called “Yinyasa.” Based on the original teachings of T. Krishnamacharya and his son T.K.V. Desikachar’s “Viniyoga,” this easy, therapeutic style of yoga flow emphasizes slow, repetitive movements linked with breath, bandha and sound (mantra). We will modify vinyasa flow sequencing in a way that is nurturing, safe and accessible to all levels of practitioners.
